I follow a blog called Paper n Stitch that has a feature called "Workspace Wednesday" where she shows off pictures of different work spaces she finds. Most of the time, I'm jealous of those pictures. I live in a 1200 sq. ft. house that's over 100 years old, has no storage, and is not roomy at all. My workspace for blogging and all computer related stuff is a cluttered desk in the corner of our little living room. When I want to work on my tatting or other creations, I walk about 4 feet from the computer desk to the couch and use a TV tray to hold my supplies. To use the Cricut, I use the kitchen table.
Lately I've been thinking a lot about my furniture needs. With a space as small as mine, a drop leaf table is a great choice. It takes up less space than a regular table, but you can expand it to full size when you really need it. A lot of people have been talking about CSN Stores lately and I found some great choices in their DiningRoomsDirect.com store.
Choice #1 is the most romantic little dining set for two (perfect now that our kids are grown).
Choice #2 is a round table that drops on both sides to leave only a narrow section and takes up very little space. My only problem with this one is that I'm not crazy about round tables.
If all else fails, I guess I could put the Cricut and my craft projects on a table with wheels and just keep moving it around the house....
