Etsy Wednesday - Promote Your Shop Linky Party

Welcome to my first ever ETSY WEDNESDAY!
When I first started my business and this blog, some of the biggest help I got in getting business exposure and blog traffic came from sites like Tools Are For Women Too! that were hosting Linky Parties.  I believe there's no better way for me to help you survive the Etsy madness than to let you show off your own Etsy shop.  Don't worry, you can still link up even if you're on Artfire, 1000 Markets, Folksy, etc.

What is a Linky Party?  A link party is a collection of URL (internet address) links that are submitted by participants.  Some are a simple list of titles/names that are hyperlinked. The most popular ones right now show a grid of thumbnail pictures that hyperlink to the contributor's desired location.  Some blogs use the same types of tools to create blog hops that display the same list or grid on multiple blogs.

How do I add my link to the Link Party?  There will be a link on the blog post that you will click on and you will be taken to another page so you can enter your information.  You will enter the URL (web address) that you want to have linked up.  The next box in the form will allow you to give a name to that link (the name of the item you are featuring, your shop name, name of your blog, title of the project featured, etc.). There is also a request for your email address, but that won't be displayed anywhere on the link.  Linky Tools then gives you a choice of where to get a photo for the link.  You can upload something from your computer or grab one from the web. If you choose the web, Linky Tools will pull possible pictures from your link location. Once you select the photo, you'll get to crop it to fit the thumbnail size.  After that, you will be taken back to the link party page, where you will see your link added to the party.

Etsy Wednesday Linky Party Guidelines
  • Only one link per shop, please.
  • Remember to visit other shops on the list.
  • Because this is promoting Etsy shops, I'm not going to require that you add my blog button to your shop (it's not possible anyway).  However, I'm hoping you will see it in your heart to add my button to your blog; stay connected to me on Facebook, Twitter, or my RSS feed; and/or promote this link party in your own way.
  • Leave a comment telling the favorite shop you found on the list (other than your own, of course).

I absolutely love Mystic Moons' tiny hoop earrings. I wear two of them and I love that I never have to take them out. She's an awesome seller to work with, too.

Thank you so much for sending me the link to your blog! I just added my store. I've only had one sale so it's very new. I hope that's ok!

Thanks again and have a good night

Mary

Thanks to everyone who participated. I'll be doing this each Wednesday, so make sure you come back. I'm happy to see an Artfire shop there, too.
