WAH = Work at Home
WAHM = Work at Home Mom
Because we needed two incomes to support our family, I never got to be a SAHM. There were times where women seemed almost embarrassed to admit they were "only a mom," but it seems like a badge of honor now. The usual assumption for Work at Home Moms (WAHM) is that they work only out of their homes. I'm not sure what to call myself since I work a full-time job outside the home and then work at home with our little business. WEM (Work Everywhere Mom)?
I've gotten to know a fantastic blogger who has become one of my best resources for working from home. Angie's blog is The Work at Home Wife. She has a great resource page (Small Business Toolkit) that you should bookmark for future use. I was flattered when she interviewed me for a feature on crafting businesses. Check out her feature on me and take a look around for lots of useful information. If you've wanted to work from home, but didn't know what kind of work to do, where to start, or what you could offer, Angie's blog is definitely for you.
