Why Canadian Customers Have No Mail

If you have customers in Canada, you'll want to be aware of what is going on with their postal system.  Labor negotiations have resulted in a lockout.  Unless you plan on using UPS or FedEx, you'll need to be aware of this situation.
  • No new mail will be accepted by Canada Post
  • Other than some items of mail already in the system, no mail will be delivered by carriers to individual addresses
  • Public mailboxes for sending mail have been sealed to prevent any new mail from being deposited
You can read the details on Canada Post's Customer Information Hub. I'm sure that sellers residing in Canada are furious at this point because they are losing money.  A closed shop loses not only today's sales, but allows people to forget about you.  It will be very hard for them to get going again once the mail is moving and delays are most likely guaranteed as a backlog of mail tries to make its way through.
